Boys Varsity Lacrosse
Tryouts for the 2018 season begin Monday, 2/19 at 4pm. Below is pertinent information for anyone wishing to tryout. Please contact Coach Hilliard at email@example.com with any questions.
Paperwork (required in order to tryout by VHSL rules):
- Physical: Your physician must use the VHSL form. You can pick up a hard copy outside of the Activities office or follow the link below. Bring the completed physical to Coach Hilliard or the training staff
- Concussion Ed: Players and parents must complete these. This is required by FCPS. Be sure to enter the students student ID number. While it may let you watch the video without filling it in, the record of you watching it will not show up as completed by you without entering the student ID. See the link below to watch the video.
IF BOTH OF THE ABOVE ITEMS HAVE BEEN COMPLETED FOR ANOTHER ACTIVITY FOR THE 2017-18 SCHOOL YEAR, YOU DO NOT NEED TO COMPLETE IT AGAIN
- Emergency care form: Even if you did one for another activity, FCPS requires that you complete it again for lacrosse. See the link below:
Team meeting& Helmet distribution (all levels): Monday 2/12 – 4pm This is different than we have done in the past. Anyone that cannot attend should arrange a time with Coach Hilliard to confirm completed paperwork and pick up their helmet (all players must wear a school issued helmet).
Tryouts will last a minimum of 3 days. Tentatively, workouts will run from 4pm to 6pm every weekday and 9am to 11am on Saturdays. This may change due to weather or turf availability.
All players will be evaluated on physical abilities, lacrosse skills and other factors including but not limited to coachability.
Players new to the sport are welcome to tryout.
