GAME SUMMARY
The Lady Cavs traveled to Minnie Howard to take on the TC Williams Titans but apparently arrived in the Moors of Scotland. The game was drenched with a constant breezy mist. WTW used the unusual field dimensions of Minnie Howard to their advantage hitting long passes down field to quickly transition from defense to offense. The Cavaliers' took control of the game after a frantic first few minutes. Cavs' junior keeper Lizzie Benedetto made 3 saves to keep the game scoreless before WTW raced out to a 5-0 lead. The Junior Low Defense unit of Alex Smith, Gillie Andes, Anna O'Hara and Dre Pasierb gave an outstanding effort for their goalie. Despite frustrating calls from officials the foursome stayed aggressive in the scheme and completely swamped the high scoring Titans. TCW came into the game averaging over 14 goals but constant double teams and excellent goal tending held them to just 6 for the night. Woodson prides it's self on offensive firepower and a rainy Tuesday night proved no exception. Nine players tallied goals which included four different hat tricks(Sr. Alex Lightfoot, Jr. Isabel Obregon, So. Claire Swanson, Fr. Emma Vinall). WTW dictated the pace of the game thanks to Captains Jazzy Kim and Kelly Stegner dominating draw controls and ground balls.  Everyone on Woodson's roster saw game action last night in a satisfying team effort. Freshmen Emma Vinall was awarded the game ball for a fantastic performance. Emma scored 3 goals, won 3 draws directly to herself and was the catalyst for a WTW run of 4 goals in 45 seconds.  TWB
