Michael Lahoud 2001-2005 Soccer

Michael Lahoud was a four-year letter winner and starter on
the Woodson boys’ soccer team. In 2005, Michael was captain
and MVP of Woodson’s State champion soccer team
and was named Player of the Year for the State, Region,
District and Washington Area. While a Cavalier, Michael
was selected All State (2005), All-Met (2004 & 2005) as
well as All-Region and All-District multiple years. Michael
finished his Woodson career as the leading scorer in school
history with 85 goals and 52 assists. Michael attended Wake Forest University, where
he was a four-year starter, earned All-ACC honors, and played in 3 Final Fours (2006-
08), helping lead his team to the NCAA championship in 2007. Michael was drafted
by Chivas USA in the first round (9th overall) of the 2009 MLS draft and also has
played professionally for Philadelphia Union. In 2013 Michael received his first international
appearance, playing in a World Cup qualifier for the national team of Sierra
Leone, the country where Michael lived until 1993.
