Jaclyn Raveia Schmitt 1993-1997 Soccer-Indoor Track and Field-Basketball

Jaclyn Raveia earned seven varsity letters while at Woodson (four in soccer, two in indoor track & field and one in basketball). Jaclyn was a captain of the 1997 Virginia State Champion soccer team. During her soccer career Jaclyn earned NSCAA All-America (1997), All-State (1997),All-Met (1996 & 1997) and multiple All-Region and All-District honors. As a member of the track team, Jaclyn was selected the most valuable player her senior year and qualified for the state championship. Jaclyn attended the University of Richmond and played soccer, where she was a two-time team captain, NSCAA Scholar Athlete of the Year, two-time Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) defensive player of the year, and earned multiple other honors including All-America and All-CAA. Jaclyn was selected in the second round of the WUSA draft by the Carolina Courage and in addition to the Courage played professionally for New York Power. In 2008 Jaclyn was inducted into the University of Richmond Athletic Hall of Fame.
